As 2022 comes to a close, we can’t help but take a moment to reflect. What a year it’s been for our growing little powerhouse of a clinic.
We often remind ourselves here at The Remedy Room that in business and in life, the only constant is change. This past year certainly provided plenty of change in big and small ways.
Early in the year, we lost my dad and inspiration, Dr. Charles C. Mary Jr. Though we continue to feel his presence daily in subtle ways, the loss of his physical being was a big one for many of us and for many of you. The outpouring of love and support from this Remedy Room community near and far made that grief a little softer. Many of you know that I opened The Remedy Room in 2013 with the single mission of continuing my father’s legacy, to educate and empower people to take control of their own health with the power of nature. Many of you also know and can feel that Dr. Charles C. Mary Jr. ‘s spirit and light continue to shine through me. What he started in me, I’m going to finish.
I am not the only one who my dad lives on through. Most of you know that our beloved head nurse, Cheryl Dubuc, worked with my dad long before she worked with me and has been with my family for more than forty years. This year, we got to celebrate two successful life-changing surgeries for Cheryl, and witness her ‘living it to lead it’ as she rested and healed optimally.
We rejoiced in the birth of May Coscio’s new son, Marcus, and the addition of several grandchildren to the extended Remedy Room family.
We said goodbye for now to some long-standing, exceptional employees, and we welcomed some incredible new players onto the team.
We’ve built a place to work where every employee is actively growing and evolving as a person. Providing access to new modalities and healing techniques including cellular detox, hypnosis breathwork, and everything in between, we are proud that every employee is able to explore and dive deeper into themselves and their health.
We’ve filled our clinic with enthusiastic patients who are passionate about using mother nature’s power to heal, educating themselves about how to stay well, getting to the root cause, and being a part of this movement to change the face of medicine as we know it.
We’ve added services like the O-Shot® and P-Shot® to bring the power of regenerative medicine and PRP therapy into the holistic health world because we believe that sexual health is a part of the greater picture that gets ignored and swept under the rug for so many who struggle silently.
We’ve also added medical marijuana consults to our practice because the healing power of the endocannabinoid system is indisputable and we remain committed to providing you with access to ALL of mother nature’s safe healing modalities.
We are proud to be the local leaders in the field of integrative medicine, paving the way for wider acceptance and adoption of many integrative modalities. Just a few years ago, IV Nutritional Therapy was known by a very small percentage of patients or mostly misunderstood. There was a time when those helping us with marketing would advise us to explain what IV stood for. Today, people accept and understand the benefits of intravenous delivery of hydration and vitamin therapy, and we are seeing more doctors adopt these tools. We welcome wider access to these natural healing therapies. There’s no doubt that nutritional therapy is having an impact on health and that the movement is and will continue to be fueled by patients’ desires and the clear results that we’ve been getting.
We’ve celebrated so much growth in our peaceful clinic on Metairie Road that we are now bursting at the seams and looking for a second bigger location! Don’t worry– we’re not leaving Metairie Road. We love it here and feel something special about this space that brings joy and healing to so many (plus you can’t beat that gorgeous sunlight through the side windows.)
And finally, we are more aligned than ever with The Remedy Room’s core values to make it fun, exceed expectations, live it to lead it, educate to empower, get to the root and most of all– to lead with love.
As we look forward to 2023, keep an eye on us as we promise to keep innovating and improving results for our patients. We will continue to lead the way by placing healthcare back in the hands of the patient. We will not stop reminding you that self-care is the best healthcare and that when we tap into the power of mother nature and our beautifully designed complex human bodies, optimal health can be achieved and illness can be overcome.

We’ve come to the end of this year with a lot to be proud of and a lot to look forward to. The prevailing feeling in this moment is gratitude. Thank you to every person who contributed to this community in any way over the past year. Whether you’ve worked with us to help our business thrive, or come to us as a patient, we would not be here without you.
As we continue to grow as individuals and as a team, we want you to know how grateful we are that you’re on this journey with us.
Cheers to a happy New Year!
With love and gratitude,
Dr. Mary
